So - I am sitting here wondering why there is such a communication gap between me and my husband. Some examples from today - I am trying to share my interests with him (I heard on TV that couples must stay interested in each other's activities to stay married) by showing him the great new program, Picassa, that I downloaded for free (I thought that at least might interest him) and that makes all of my product pictures look great. I showed him a before, an after, a demonstration of how it was done, etc. Without change of expression, he says "and?". Really? Wow. Example 2 - I was once again trying to engage him in conversation - this time about our daughter. "Eric called her this morning" I said. "Called her what?" he says. I had to walk away. Realize that he is not trying to be cute, he is being a pain in the rear. Arghhhh! I have even made an attempt to speak golf to him with the resulting monosyllabic answers par for the course. Anyway - done with the rant. I am always amazed at my married friends who actually enjoy each others company. The HVAC guy was here the other day, telling us how much he misses his wife while he is at work. Really? I thought that was fairy tale material.
